Simple Allergy Alert is a food allergy card generator that translates dietary restrictions and allergens into 100+ languages for use when dining abroad. The app is available at app.simpleallergyalert.com and on Google Play. A free tier is available to all users. A one-time premium upgrade unlocks additional features including saved cards, custom wording, and full language access.
2. AI-Generated Translation Disclaimer

Simple Allergy Alert uses AI-powered machine translation provided by Google Cloud AI. Some translations are generated automatically and may contain errors or omissions. This app is not a medical device and must not be relied upon as the sole means of communicating a life-threatening allergy or dietary restriction.
Users assume full responsibility for verifying the accuracy of any translation before acting on it. Always carry prescribed medication (such as an epinephrine auto-injector). Always confirm dietary requirements directly with restaurant or food service staff before eating.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Dominic Buzugbe (trading as Simple Allergy Alert) accepts no liability for any harm, injury, or loss arising from reliance on AI-generated translations produced by this app.
Native Speaker Verified Languages
Most languages in the app rely solely on machine translation. For the languages listed below, the app's built-in default allergens, alert phrases, and emergency card text have additionally been checked line-by-line by a native speaker for accuracy.
This verification does not extend to custom allergens or custom alert text you enter yourself. Any custom wording you add is always machine-translated, regardless of language, and has not been reviewed by a native speaker. This list will grow over time; it does not remove the need to confirm dietary requirements directly with restaurant or food service staff.

3. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years of age to use this service, or have the consent of a parent or legal guardian. By using the app, you confirm that you meet this requirement.
4. Payments and Premium Upgrade
The premium upgrade is a one-time purchase processed via Lemon Squeezy (web) or Google Play (Android). Payments are handled entirely by those platforms as merchants of record. We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and PayPal where supported by the payment processor.
All payments are made in US dollars unless otherwise stated at checkout. As a digital product, the premium upgrade is non-refundable once activated, except where required by applicable law. If you have a dispute regarding a payment, please contact info@simpleallergyalert.com.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree to use Simple Allergy Alert only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You must not:
- Use the service in any way that violates applicable local, national, or international law or regulation
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the service or its infrastructure
- Reproduce, duplicate, copy, sell, or exploit any part of the service without our express written permission
- Use the service to transmit unsolicited communications or for any commercial purpose not authorised by us
- Misuse the AI translation feature in any way that could cause harm to others
6. Intellectual Property
All content, design, code, and materials in Simple Allergy Alert are owned by or licensed to Dominic Buzugbe (trading as Simple Allergy Alert) and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce or redistribute any part of the service without prior written consent.
7. Third-Party Services
Simple Allergy Alert integrates with third-party services including Google Cloud AI (translation), Lemon Squeezy (payments), Google Play (Android payments and distribution), Firebase (crash reporting and analytics), and Vercel (hosting). Use of these services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the content, availability, or practices of third-party services.
This app may contain links to external websites. We are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of those sites.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law:
- Simple Allergy Alert is provided "as is" without any warranty, express or implied
- We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free from inaccuracies
- Our total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the use of this service is limited to the amount paid by you for the premium upgrade (if any)
- We shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service
Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
9. Dispute Resolution
In the event of a dispute, we ask that you first contact us at info@simpleallergyalert.com to attempt to resolve the matter informally. If a resolution cannot be reached within 30 days, the dispute shall be referred to and finally resolved by arbitration in Norwich, England, conducted in English, in accordance with the applicable arbitration rules.
10. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes not resolved by arbitration shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
11. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Dominic Buzugbe (trading as Simple Allergy Alert) from and against any loss, damage, liability, claim, or demand — including reasonable legal fees — arising out of or relating to: (1) your use of the service; (2) your breach of these Terms; (3) your violation of any third party's rights; or (4) any harmful act toward another user of the service. We reserve the right to assume exclusive defence of any matter for which you are required to indemnify us, at your expense.
12. Service Management
We reserve the right to monitor the service for violations of these Terms and to take appropriate action, including restricting or suspending access, where we determine in our sole discretion that a violation has occurred. We may remove any content or disable any functionality that we consider to be in breach of these Terms or applicable law.
13. Modifications and Interruptions
We reserve the right to change, modify, or discontinue the service at any time without notice. We cannot guarantee that the service will be available at all times. We shall not be liable for any loss or inconvenience caused by downtime, interruption, or discontinuance of the service.
14. Termination
We reserve the right to deny access to the service to any user, at any time, for any reason, including breach of these Terms. If your access is terminated, you must cease using the service immediately. Termination does not entitle you to a refund of any premium purchase except where required by applicable law.
15. Electronic Communications
By using the service, you consent to receiving communications from us electronically, including by email and via notices posted on the website or app. You agree that electronic communications satisfy any legal requirement that such communications be in writing.
16. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unlawful, void, or unenforceable, that provision shall be deemed severable from the remaining Terms and shall not affect the validity or enforceability of the remaining provisions. These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding use of the service.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Where changes are material, we will notify users by email or by posting a prominent notice on the website.
